Korea: A Land of Hats is a survey of hats as part of the Korean wardrobe throughout the Choson Dynasty (1391-1910).

Every hat worn during the 500-year reign of the Choson monarchs was indicative of the wearer’s status in society, alluding to class, gender, occupation, and affiliation. In collaboration with the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines and Coreana Cosmetics Museum, the exhibition presents fine examples of the traditional craftsmanship of Korean artisans throughout the centuries and includes reinterpretations by modern artists.
