Guiseppe Penone (b. 1947) is an artist whose body of work includes sculpture, performance, and photography. His ‘living sculptures’ carved out of materials like bronze and wood allude to the shared qualities among nature, transience, and the human being. Throughout his career, Penone has exhibited in several iterations of Documenta and the Venice Biennale.
