14 MAY 2024 - 20 NOVEMBER 2024
2/F SOUTH GALLERY

An immersive experience that presents the disturbing yet poetic world of the famous – and famously anonymous – street artist, Banksy. It starts by tracing the trajectory of his art from its rebellious roots in Bristol, progressing to his iconic works in London, Los Angeles, and New York City. The (unauthorized) exhibition offers a comprehensive view of Banksy's impact on the street art movement, showcasing his thought-provoking pieces that address social and political issues such as inequality, injustice, capitalism, and commercialism.

CHANCES OF CONTACT: CONTEMPORARY PRINTS FROM THE PHILIPPINES AND SINGAPORE

23 AUGUST 2024 - 26 OCTOBER 2024

The Metropolitan Museum of Manila in partnership with STPI Gallery presents Chances of Contact: Contemporary Artists from the Philippines and Singapore. Organized in conjunction with the 55th anniversary of bilateral relations between Singapore and the Philippines, Chances of Contact brings together the works of 16 artists from both nations – created during each artist’s residency with our Creative Workshop.

Curated by Patrick Flores, Deputy Director of Curatorial & Research at National Gallery Singapore and Professor of Art History and Criticism at the University of the Philippines, the exhibition offers new ways of appreciating the art of print and papermaking through the lenses of time periods, mediums, and art forms.

In collaboration with the Singapore Embassy in Manila and co-presented by Singtel Group.
