A noted scholar on Asian affairs will talk on the history and development of the growing presence of the Indians in the Philippines, culturally, economically and socially.

Interconnect: Artist Talk by Allison Wong-David

February 7, Saturday, 2 to 4 pm

Allison Wong-David will expound on the stories behind the portraits showcased in the tactile exhibit Sensorium of Portraits: The Interconnectedness of Everyone and Everything.  As an artist who works with various mediums, David will delve on the processes unique to each medium and the personal forces that drove her to create her intriguing portraits.

The Gold Rush: Tours of the Pre-Hispanic Gold Collection

February 7, 14, 21, 28, Saturdays, 10 am

A free guided tour of the Met Museum’s permanent exhibit all Saturdays of February. Open to the public. Pre-registration of individuals and groups is requested as only 20 to 30 slots are available per tour.

Re-Dissect: The Anatomy of the Met Museum Collection

March 14, Saturday, 2 to 4 pm

Invited artists will talk about their artwork(s) and the circumstances surrounding the donation of their work(s) to the Museum. The talk will also highlight the Museum’s collecting history, forces driving its collecting activity, and the significance of collecting for the Museum.
